I took my Sony Bravia TV to 3 different electronic repair shops and was told by all 3 that I would need a new screen. A line had appeared in the middle of the screen and would not go away. A screen would have cost me as much as i had paid for the thng. AAA TV was recommended to me by a friend who had recently had a good experience with them. Right when I was getting ready to chuck an almost new 65 inch tv away, I decided to give them a try. Bit out the way for me since I am in tysons, but they came highly recommended so i thought it was worth the trip if they could fix it.
They just made a cheerleader out of me. So refreshing seeing an honest man run an honest business. I don't care how far they are from me, if I ever need another piece of electronics repaired I am going to AAA TV.
Best part of all: THEY DIDN'T CHARGE ME ANYTHING!! They said that it was just a small part that had gotten loose and damaged, it was such a small fix that they didn't want to charge me for it. He knew how hard I had tried to fix this TV, he knew he could tell me that he spent X amount of hours on it and replaced such and such part and charge me at least half of what a screen would cost, and I would have been happy! This guy is so honest that when I asked why he didn't just do that he laughed and laughed.
Took them probably 20 minutes to figure out the issue and tell me exactly what parts I needed. Since it was still under warranty they called apple for me and got the part and fixed her right up! Free of charge to me.
Go in, and check out their place before you give them your TV. See how many TVs they have sitting around. Ask them how many tv they have that need to get repaired...the answer will blow your mind away. *They have over 200 TVs that need repair or cannot be repaired* But wait, they are suppose to fix them as a "Triple A TV Electronics shop?" So instead, if they cannot fix it, they keep your money (the money you paid before you gave your TV away) then use your money against you to get a new tv, and they will only use your TV for parts.
Great family run business. Professional & knowledgeable staff.
Needless to say, I often find myself needing a good electronics repair man. George and his son John are just fantastic when it comes to diagnosing and fixing an issue. My 1 year old, still under warranty MacBook would sometimes shut off on me and not turn back on no matter what I did.
Well, I finally got fed up and just took it to my old friends at AAA TV. I knew they were good, but I really didn't think they were better at diagnosing issues with macbooks then the mac guys!
I agree the turn around time may be quick, but the results are not worth the trip and money. Its funny how they charge you BEFORE they diagnose your TV and will never keep you informed. You will have to call them to follow up.
Good luck...AAA TV Electronics...
I am not the type to just throw away a phone because a new gen has come out, or chuck a laptop because it crashed on me a few too many times. I watch my footprint and get as much use out of the electronics I buy as possible.
I am reading some of these reviews people have left for AAA TV and can't help but to think maybe these guys are leaving reviews for the wrong electronics repair shop. I have been going to these guys since before they moved into this lorton location. Something like 11 years at this point.
I don't know about these reviews. I think people are paying the to write 5-Star Reviews.
"30 years in this business, I have never scammed or overcharged a single customer, not ganna start with you."
I took it to the apple store 4 different times. Each Time I took it in, as if it knew where it was, all problems would suddenly go away. No matter what the mac geniuses did they could not replicate the problem. Frustrating as hell because I knew I would take it home and it would start acting up again in a few days. They mac guys ran every single diagnostic under the sun and could not figure out the issue.
Quick simple and on time. Dropped off my TV, they fixed it and called me to pick it up two days later. Great work.
Met with George when I arrived and he could not have been nicer. we spent the 1st half hour just laughing about all the time I had spent lugging this tv from shop to shop.
From now on, warranties be damned; I am making AAA TV my 1st stop.
I left the TV and the next day got a voicemail to go pick it up. I assumed that he too had realized that the screen needed replacing and would not be worth it. To my surprise, when I arrived the tv was plugged in and working perfectly fine. I couldn't believe it! I was so happy that I actually gave George and his son a hug! Finally after two months of running around my tv was fixed!!
