We have taken our pets to VCA Alexandria for 10 years. We now have a new puppy to add to the pack and VCA has been great as always. It is easy to get appointments. We have used emergency 24-hour services twice with one of our older dogs and they took such good care of her. We have had surgery on the same dog and again, the surgery and post-op care were exemplary. We will be loyal clients as long as we have pets! Thank you to everyone from the doctors, to the technicians to the receptionists to the pharmacy and all-you are always caring, empathetic, professional, and more than capable and we appreciate each and every one of you more than you can imagine!
I took my kitty to the ER for trouble breathing. I called and asked for help bringing him inside from my car and the receptionist quickly came to help me. He was quickly triaged and evaluated by a vet. Unfortunately, he was very sick and I had to put him to sleep. Dr. Gilbert was incredibly nice, explained what was going on, and gave me as much time as I needed with my little boy before he was put to sleep. I am grateful that everyone at VCA made this process as easy as possible since I was a wreck. The cost for the ER was very reasonable as well (surprisingly). Although this has nothing to do with my cat, they put me in a room so I could breastfeed my screaming newborn son (while my cat was triaged elsewhere). It was nice of them.

The Alexandria Animal Hospital provides first rate care. We have brought Chance there since he was a puppy. We have been served by several vets, all of whom treated him with care, love, and the best knowledge. We wouldn't go anywhere else. Thank you.
I am very happy with the service I receive. The reception desk is great, I like several vets, I ask many questions because veterinary care is so amazing and I love learning more, and they are very happy to explain. I don't mind paying more for the security I have in their care.
I recently returned to VCA after trying a place close to me. I am very happy I did. The level of care cannot be measured. Dr Drake is excellent! She was very gentle and thorough with my two little ones. She also spend time answering all of my questions. She did not make me feel rushed even though I knew they were behind due to an emergency. The support staff were awesome. Each exhibited excellent customer service with smiles and sharing stories. They have a genuine concern and sincerely care for the pets they see. I would highly recommend VCA and Dr. Drake.
