Delicious comfort food! The fried itself are amazing! Cozy, little restaurant with some pretty cool history. Definitely a place to check out when visiting Old Towne Virginia.
Amazing history, traditional early american food, and a lovely staff. It's cool to dine where George Washington dined. The menu offers a few traditional dishes that I have not seen anywhere else. All cooked to perfection and delivered by waitresses in period dress. It's an eighteenth century treat that you will never forget. Reservations recommended.
Wonderful food. The portions are more than we could eat and the quality was better than expected. Flavorful, cooked correctly. Quite good. After a bad experience at a fine dining establishment in Alexandria, we were pleasantly surprised by the food and service. We were waited on by Gloria who was an absolute delight and represented the best in service. Whether a local or just a traveller, this restaurant warrants a visit. Do call ahead for reservations, it fills up quick.
Amazing historic tavern serving decent food right in Old Town Alexandria- If you’re a history buff, it’s the building that really makes this place special.
Wonderful food with an excellent atmosphere. Our favorite colonial restaurant in the entire USA. Would highly recommend. Make sure to make a reservation far in advance if you are from out of town. Make sure to go in the evening especially when it is dark outside. Love the candles in the window.
