II have been getting my car hand washed almost every weekend for the past 2 years. Never had any issues and they take good care of my car.
Yates Car Wash my car came out with a scratch on the driver door, and the silver paint off of the dealer emblem. I have gone to other car washes before free of incident. The staff is nice.
I visited the car wash today with a long line queued up. As I neared the car drop off point the line stalled for about 10 minutes, with no one providing any information. Worse, one of the workers got into the (assumingly air conditioned) car in front of me as the driver went inside. When the line final moved again many drivers had already departed.
Consistently good basic car wash for $16 plus tip. Plenty of staff to keep things moving. Kinda surprised at rash of neg reviews: I don't personally care if some working dude turns on my AC in three hundred degree temp, or if the wiping towels are from Saks Fifth Avenue Organic Collection. Just saying'.
I took my car to Yates Automotive for its 60k-mile service (a big milestone that they did for me for half the cost of the dealer) and also asked for a full interior/exterior detail. I was astounded at how Aaron had managed to completely restore the car, inside and out, to new condition. My white Outback is 4 years old, all of them hard years spent toting a toddler and a 100-pound dog, so I couldn't believe how my car gleamed when I picked it up. Interior cloth upholstery (a light cream color) was free again of stains, the glass sparkled, the grime and dog hair was gone from every crevice, and the paint (after a meticulous clay bar job) was pearlescent again. Best of all, the car smelled clean and new, not like a gallon of Armor-All or other harsh chemicals had been dumped on the dash and in the vents (an experience I'd had at other places over the years). My five-year-old said to me, "This must be what the cars look like in heaven." Yes, honey, yes they do. This was the best money I've ever spent on my car. I won't take my car any place else.
Also, after I got my car back I turned it on to find the AC cranked up. I turn off my AC every time I turn off my car and never have it cranked up The workers have no right touching controls that have not nothing to do with the safe operation of the car.
